3D Weapon Modeling Course: Creating the “Vintorez” VSS for AAA Games
Go all the way from a blank viewport to a photorealistic, game-ready model for integration into modern game engines.
In this course, you’ll create the legendary silent VSS “Vintorez” sniper rifle by following a modern industry pipeline. We don’t just build a mesh—we create an object with a story. Special attention is given to hard-surface modeling, physically based rendering (PBR), and game development technical requirements.
Software
Blender 3D—creating a draft model, proper soft-modeling, low-poly modeling, geometry optimization, and accurate UV unwrapping.
ZBrush—refining high-poly details, sculpting natural wear and tear, and creating chamfers.
Substance Painter — texturing stage (PBR pipeline). Working with layers and masks, and creating realistic metal, wood, and plastic materials.
Marmoset Toolbag — flawless texture baking and final visualization for your ArtStation portfolio.
Who is this course for?
Beginners (Junior): If you’ve already mastered the basics of Blender but don’t know how to combine all the stages into a single workflow.
Intermediate artists: Those who want to improve their texturing skills in Substance Painter and learn how to create stunning renders.
Course Outcomes
You’ll complete the course not just with a finished model, but with a clear understanding of the game development production cycle. You’ll be able to independently create complex 3D assets that meet modern gaming industry standards.
